Beta Release Notes #8

Fixes various bugs and crashes with 1.8.9, 1.20.6 and 1.21. Expands Realms compatibility to all supported versions.

Changes

  • Changed - Realms now utilizes the Mojang compatibility checking service
    • Previously, we only allowed the latest version to connect to Realms
    • This change allows any version Mojang still supports to connect
  • Changed - Fly Boost multiplier can now go down to 0.1x

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed - Font Renderer excessive memory usage during resource reloads on all versions
  • Fixed - Memory leak with HUD rendering on 1.21
  • Fixed - Nametag Editor's Show Own Nametag not working on 1.21
  • Fixed - Singleplayer world compatibility guard not working on 1.8.9
  • Fixed - State leak when rendering the fire overlay with OptiFine on 1.8.9
  • Fixed - Crash with Potion Status' Dynamic Effect Color on 1.20.6+
  • Fixed - Crash with Chat Settings' Compact Chat on 1.20.4+
  • Fixed - Crash with Chat Settings' Timestamps on 1.20.4+
  • Fixed - Crash with Boss Bar on 1.20.4+
